A World Beyond Ours

I have always known about a world beyond ours.

As a young child, I remember thinking 'There's got to be more to it than this'. I imagined copies of myself living in a parallel universe. I knew in my heart this was just a dream and one day I would wake up and be somewhere else.

I continued to investigate with much enthusiasm, all aspects of this phenomena we call life on Earth. I felt connected to the Earth in a profound way and treated the environment and all our resources as the precious gifts they are.

Of course, back then, nearly a half a century ago, the idea was squashed. The adults in my life insisted there was enough oil for eternity, or at least for our life time, and plenty of places for garbage to go. 'This is all there is, there is nothing else. There is only this time, this planet, one life, and when you die, the Earth will turn you to dust, and that's it!'

I knew better!

The animals, plants and trees, water and air, always precious to me, and I did my best to conserve. I knew recycling was an absolute necessity. So, despite the attitude of others, I continued to treat our planet with the utmost respect.

As a person with great curiosity I had an insatiable desire for knowledge about the human condition, personnel growth, and the gift of overcoming obstacles and challenges faced on a daily basis. My own personal struggle with alcohol and the gift of recovery opened even more insights begging me to see the bigger picture and come to trust the perfection and order of the universe.

I began to connect the dots. Could our journey, the path of the soul, have anything to do with the evolution of the planet?

The discovery of quantum physics, and the scientific verification of how our observations, how our thinking, influences the outcome of a situation, was fascinating to me. I marveled at the occurrence of coincidence and synchronicity. Timing, right place, right time was not happenstance. In short, the idea of ONE and the ALL, was at the core of all my beliefs.

As an artist and writer, the desire to portray these ideas was a challenge I longed to pursue and could not be quieted. An expression necessary for personal fulfillment, I opened myself up to the information and began to relate it.

Most of the work was a mere channeling, with little thought or effort on my part. It just poured out of me. It seemed to flow easily. The ideas came in random clumps and I did my best to relate the information, whether on paper, canvas or computer.

As the ideas became more popular, I came in contact with others that shared my views and was no longer alone in my thinking. Still, others were fearful of the implications. The notion of being responsible for ourselves and our path, and the well being of the planet, was a concept many people preferred to pass on to the next unknowing soul.

Sharing this journey with others is a miracle, and though each soul path is different, there are still concurrent themes. When we choose to look deeper, we can see we are not at all different from our fellows. We can find satisfaction in knowing we are not alone instead of choosing to remain separate in our beliefs. I continue to marvel at this great truth and welcome new experiences that will further expand my awareness.

I hope you enjoy sharing in this expression of my views and thoughts as much as I enjoyed creating the work. Maybe it will make you think, maybe it will make you feel like you're not alone, or maybe it will spark a memory from a time you have long forgotten. None the less, enjoy your journey and strive to remain Open.
